Lent is the 40 days before Easter where we remember Jesus' life, ministry and death. Its a time for us to prepare ourselves to connect and grow closer to God. This can be done through prayer, reading and studying the bible, helping someone, starting something or giving up something....there are many ways!!

Ash Wednesday at Home

Why not mark the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday service at home?

Download our booklet here, grab some paper, pens, matches and maybe even some marshmallows and join in!  You can do this on your own, with your family or household, or even with friends over Zoom!

Lent Course

Through this Bible study, you will be called to evaluate your spiritual life and growth, to uncover your true character, to trust in the God of grace, to declare victory over your true enemy, and to find your identity in your Saviour. This study will serve as a reminder that prayer really is a powerful weapon.

Instagram photo challenge

Felling creative or do you just like spending time on your phone?

Then why not take part in the Instagram photo challenge during Lent (until Easter).

How do I participate?

  • Download the Church of England's LiveLent 2021 app and register.
  • Each day read and reflect on the the daily devotional
  • Check out the statement of the day and reflect on what you can capture & bring together
  • Then upload a photo or video on Instagram
  • Tag @StMarksKensalRise on Instagram for every post
  • If you're not Instagram, no worries! You can send your photos to our Facebook group or via Whatsapp to your group leaders or by email.
