Environment
At St Mark’s, we are committed to the care of God’s creation. We seek to be a light in our local community and to enhance our neighbourhood. Our community garden has been carefully planted to support wildlife, specifically the residents of our bees hives and bird boxes, and we encourage our neighbours to use it respectfully.
In line with the Diocese of London, our aspiration is to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030. Since 2022, we have more than halved our CO2 emissions down to 8.5 tonnes in 2025, and plans are underway to reduce this further as we investigate onsite forms of renewable energy.
We encourage our congregation to steward and care for creation, and participate in church initiatives. If you want to learn more about what we are doing or if you want to get involved, please email giving@stmkr.org.
